Recap - what happend in the previous Seriencamp Conference editions?

Germany's largest conference for TV series will be held in Cologne this year, marking the 9th edition of our industry event. In the past years, our CONFERENCE has welcomed numerous professionals from the film and TV sector.

It all began in Munich in 2015, when the "Professional Days" – as our CONFERENCE was called back then – first took place parallel to SERIENCAMP FESTIVAL. The first round already sold out and proved to be a huge success, with 320 industry professionals participating in various panels, case studies, and masterclasses.

Starting in 2017, our "Professional Days" were renamed and relaunched as SERIENCAMP CONFERENCE. That same year, our WRITERS’ VISION PITCH, DIGITAL SHORT FORM PITCH, and CO-PRODUCTION SESSIONS were introduced.

Over the past years, the CONFERENCE managed to set numerous impulses, showcase trends and influence developments in the international TV-Series business. The best example is the Scandinavian hit format SKAM, first time presented to an international audience in 2018 by Marianne Furevold on the SERIENCAMP CONFERENCE. The series then went on a thriumphal march around the world (including Germany as DRUCK).

However one of the most popular segments oft the CONFERENCE remains the WORK OF PROGRESS section. where the who´s who of German TV-Series landscape present their productions in early stages to an enthuastic industry audience, often with first look into it. The format has been moderated by DWDL.de boss Thomas Lückerath from the very beginning.

HIGHLIGHTS of WORK IN PROGRESS:

2016: CHARITÉ (UFA Fiction); 4 BLOCKS (Wiedemann & Berg)
2017: BAD BANKS (ZDF); PASTEWKA (Amazon Prime Video)
2018: DEAD END (Real Film); EDEN (Lupa Filmproduktion u.a.)
2019: WILD REPUBLIC (Telekom): OKTOBERFEST 1900 (BR)
2020: KATAKOMBEN (Neue Super), UNBROKEN (Network Movie)
2021: SOULS (Sky); DER ÜBERFALL (ZDF, UFA Fiction); WRONG (RTL+,Neue Super)

After the pandamic-related upheavals of the last few years, including a purely digital format in 2020 with approximately 4,000 viewers and a shortened hybrid event in 2021, the CONFERENCE organizers have turned adversity into an oppertunity and further advanced the CONFERENCE both in terms of content and structure. The restart in Cologne, which will take place parallel to the SERIENCAMP FESTIVAL boasts an impressive program as a result.

Relocated to Cologne Ehrenfeld this year's SERIENCAMP CONFERENCE will take place at Herbrand’s from June 14th to June 16th, featuring a diverse program with exciting panels and guests. Early Bird Tickets are still available until the 5th of May. First Insights to our Program you already get exclusivly on DEADLINE.
