Beyond Representation. New Aesthetics for a Postmigrant Generation
The storytelling revolution is already here: Hijabi TikTok creators editing themselves into Hogwarts, Arab-German influencers explaining politics to mainstream audiences, Muslim voices shaping culture and public discourse across Europe. Yet depictions of Muslim life in German television often still feel stuck in the narratives and aesthetics of past decades.

Hosted by the Muslimisch-Deutscher Filmverband (MDFV), this panel explores postmigrant storytelling, new aesthetics and future-oriented series culture in Germany and beyond.
