EUROPEAN SERIES DEVELOPMENT PITCH

Die Zukunft des europäischen Serienerzählens steht im Mittelpunkt der Seriencamp Conference 2026. Der European Series Development Award, der in den diesjährigen STORY EXCHANGE integriert ist, bringt mutige kreative Stimmen und internationale Branchenpartner zusammen, um eine neue Generation hochwertiger Dramaserien zu fördern. Der Preis wurde vom Council of Europe, der Heimat von Eurimages, im Rahmen des Pilotprogramms für Serienkoproduktionen und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Fiction Expert Group der Europäischen Rundfunkunion ins Leben gerufen. Er unterstützt Projekte, die für internationale Koproduktionen konzipiert sind, um unabhängiges Storytelling zu stärken, grenzüberschreitende Kooperationen zu ermöglichen und einen Beitrag zu den kulturellen, demokratischen und bildungspolitischen Bedürfnissen in der audiovisuellen Landschaft Europas zu leisten.

Im Rahmen der Initiative werden fünf ausgewählte Projekte in einer Live-Pitch-Session auf der Seriencamp Conference vorgestellt und konkurrieren um einen Entwicklungspreis in Höhe von 50.000 €, um die weitere Entwicklung ihrer Serien zu unterstützen. Eine hochkarätige Jury, bestehend aus Alex Traila (Europarat), Elly Vervloet (VRT) und Marc Lorber (Produzent), wird die Entscheidung treffen.
