The future of European series storytelling takes center stage at Seriencamp Conference 2026. Integrated into this year’s STORY EXCHANGE, the European Series Development Award brings together bold creative voices and international industry partners to champion a new generation of high-end drama series. Initiated by the Council of Europe, home of Eurimages, through the Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions, and in partnership with the European Broadcasting Union Fiction Expert Group, the award supports projects designed for international co-production to strengthen indpendent storytelling, enable collaborations across borders, and contribute to cultural, democratic and educational needs in Europe’s audiovisual landscape.

As part of the initiative, five selected projects will be presented in a live pitch session at Seriencamp Conference, competing for a development award of €50,000 to support the further development of their series. A high-profile jury consisting of Alex Traila (Council of Europe), Elly Vervloet (VRT) and Marc Lorber (Producer) will decide.
