The Managing Director of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Walid Nakschbandi, and the Mayor of Cologne, Torsten Burmester, opened the latest ‘season’ of the Seriencamp Festival on Monday evening in front of around 500 invited guests.
The world premiere of the series BACK FOR MORE was screened. Following the pilot episode, the cast – almost all of whom were present – were celebrated on stage together with the crew and provided exciting insights into the series during the Q&A.
The celebrations then continued on the premises of Cinenova Köln-Ehrenfeld. Toasts were raised late into the evening: to the premiere, to past and future successes in serial storytelling, and of course to a successful opening of the twelfth Seriencamp Festival.
From today, Tuesday, the Cinenova cinemas will also be opening their doors to Cologne’s TV series enthusiasts. Until 11 June, highlights from TV series will be screened here in the presence of cast and crew, alongside world premieres of prestigious local productions such as ALL HEROES ARE BASTARDS (ARD DEGETO) and CLUB DER ROTEN BÄNDER – THE NEW GENERATION (RTL/VOX), as well as international series highlights such as HAPPINESS and ELDORADO (both ARTE) or ANNIE and FADIA.
