With the CRITICS’ CHOICE AWARD, Seriencamp Festival, together with a jury, honors productions that stand out for their exceptional narrative quality and relevance. The nominees for the 2026 CRITICS’ CHOICE AWARD are Trespasses, House of Yang, and Eldorado.

Set in Northern Ireland in the 1970s, Trespasses tells the story of a forbidden love against the backdrop of the conflict in Belfast, a love that grows increasingly dangerous in an atmosphere of fear, violence, and mistrust.
In House of Yang, two girls disappear from the same house in the Black Forest fifty years apart. When Jessie returns to the family home with her daughter, long-buried secrets and the ghosts of the past come back to life.
Eldorado tells the story of a massive fraud in the 1970s: Two men deceive a powerful oil company with a supposedly revolutionary oil exploration technology, triggering one of the most spectacular economic scandals of their time.
