The SERIENCAMP FESTIVAL’s Short Form Competition will once again spotlight exceptional short series in 2026: Eight international productions are in the running for the Short Form Award, showcasing just how diverse, bold, and innovative storytelling can be in the short-form format.
The nominees are:
BAD PEOPLE (D) - Three employees in the afterlife decide the fate of newly arrived souls and find themselves caught in moral dilemmas in the process.
AYER’S CLIFF (CA) – After a tragic incident in his hometown, a young man must work alongside his eccentric uncle.
BURIED (AUS) - After a fatal accident, a single mother tries to juggle school life and disposing of a body.
I HAVE SOMETHING TO SHARE WITH YOU (ARG) - Four women share intimate stories about love, sex, and self-discovery, questioning their relationships in the process.
MAY THE LAST DAY BE FOR US (ARG) - Isolated soldiers at war reflect on identity, fear, and life beyond the battlefield.
SHEEP (AT) - A flock of sheep believes in a better life for the chosen few, until one of them discovers the truth behind the system.
REBOUND (NOR) - After a breakup, Alex throws herself into a new relationship, losing herself between hope and heartbreak.
PAUNCH (CA) - A fallen superhero must confront his past when his homeland is in danger.
In the coming weeks, a distinguished jury will decide which series will be honored as the best short series of the year. The winning series will be awarded exclusively during the festival.
