Three perspectives, one common goal: to select the best international series of the year. For the 2026 Official Competition, we are pleased to welcome a distinguished jury that brings together diverse expertise in acting, production, and directing.
Among them is Jannik Schümann, one of the most prominent German actors of his generation, who has captivated a wide audience with roles in productions such as Sisi and Disko 76. Eva Holtmann is an experienced producer and current Head of Fiction at BBC Studios Germany, who has made a significant contribution to the German series landscape with shows like Chaos and Ghosts. Rounding out the trio is Bilal Bahadır, a multi-award-winning screenwriter and director whose series Uncivilized won the German Television Award, among other honors.
Together, they bring diverse perspectives on storytelling, direction, and production to the table and will ultimately make the decisive choice: Which series will win the Official Competition Award 2026?
