CRITICS’ CHOICE JURY 2026

The Critics’ Choice Award honors a series that impresses the jury through its outstanding storytelling, originality, and relevance. We are pleased to announce the jury for the 2026 Critics’ Choice Award.

Joining the jury is host, entertainer, and film and television expert Dominik Porschen. A Cologne native and long-time observer of Germany’s pop culture and media landscape, he brings not only extensive stage experience but also a deep passion for television series and entertainment.

Also serving on the jury is cultural journalist Arabella Wintermayr. The acclaimed film and television critic regularly contributes to publications including taz, der Freitag, and ZEIT Online.

Completing the jury is cultural journalist Patrick Heidmann, who has been writing about film, television, and culture for more than 20 years for renowned media outlets such as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), Süddeutsche Zeitung, ZEIT Online, taz, and Rolling Stone.

Together, they will determine which of the nominated series will receive the Critics’ Choice Award 2026.
