Herbrand’s / Bahnhaus

Since its premiere in 2019 the British comedy show GHOSTS has travelled well: With local adaptations in the US and France and Australia and Greece in production, the story of a young couple and their deceased ghostly housemates has proven itself as a darling with audiences everywhere. The German version, with its very own twists on the personnel of ghosts, premiered recently to wide acclaim and is the latest successful offspring in the GHOSTS family.

Creators and writers behind the series share their experiences with adapting the successful show: What makes an adaptation a good one? How to identify which cultural idiosyncrasies to keep and which to change? And what do the creators of the original like most about the various adaptations?
