Hermann Sox is angry. He usually is, ever since he lost his better half and started drowning his frustrations in alcohol. He lost her in a clothes dryer, which makes perfect sense: Hermann is a dirty old sock who, like an "Angry White Man", henceforth only utters inane, politically incorrect nonsense.
What could be better than imagining angry old white men as smelly socks? That's apparently what Corinne Le Hong thought, who pitched the concept of a puppet series set against real-life backgrounds at series camp two years ago and now gets to premiere it here, too. An unusually made and unusually cryptic (and topical) fun, to which Mechthild Großmann (the prosecutor from the Münster "Tatort") has lent her inimitable voice.
