Sigrid, "Sigge" for short, is 22 years young and stuck halfway between youth and adulthood. She is by no means the only one in her circle of friends. For here, everyone feels the emotional upheavals that such a "coming-of-age" brings, the "thunder in their hearts" that drives them to come clean with their respective pasts and (re)define themselves as what they are at their core.
In her native Sweden, singer/songwriter Amy Deasismont is a pop star with five albums released to date, and after appearances in films like "Stella" (2015) and the series surprise "Gösta," which was acclaimed at series camp, she has now gone on to become a series creator herself. "Thunder In My Heart" was not only created by the singer and filled with her own experiences, she also plays the lead role and gets to explore the few ups and many downs in young adult life alongside "Snabba Cash" star Alexander Abdallah, among others.
