From 2015 to 2022, Ulrich Noethen as Dr. Johannes Jessen "Neben der Spur" found as a psychologist who suffers from incipient Parkinson's and in a murder case to which he is called in, soon becomes the main suspect himself. The series was actually based on the book by Australian Michael Robotham, which now has just under a dozen volumes and whose main character is actually Joe O'Loughlin. Aidan Turner, who achieved some fame as "Poldark," now slips into his shoes for the British adaptation of the whole thing. Also he as a clinical psychologist with incipient Parkinson's disease, he also soon police called consultant and suspect in one person. The result comes a bit darker and more international than the German adaptation, but invites in any case to compare and should open doors with crime fans.
