Sheep

“Sheep” has won the Short Form Competition alongside the series “Buried” and will premiere on 11 June at 9.15 pm in Theatre 2.

In the Austrian-German co-production “Sheep”, which caused a sensation at the Canneseries Festival, real people (including Birgit Minichmayer, Roland Düringer and Jella Haase) voice real sheep, whose mouth movements were animated retrospectively. The sheep mistakenly believe they have domesticated humans. A misconception that could lead the sheep to certain death if the cynical sheep Oliver fails to convince his fellow sheep otherwise: clearly, the film deals with meat consumption and vegetarianism, but anyone familiar with the conspiracy theory of the ‘sleeping sheep’ is also sure to be thoroughly entertained.

If you enjoyed “Shaun the Sheep”, “Animal Farm” and “Babe”.
