Four indigenous youths in rural Oklahoma are dreaming the dream of their recently deceased gang member Daniel: they want to go to the promised land of California to escape poverty on the reservation. A journey for which they need a lot of money. Minor and major criminal acts and clashes with rival gangs ensue, at the end of which only one thing is certain: Tarantino would be proud of them. 

Already in his acclaimed "The Hunt For the Wilderpeople," New Zealand's Marvel impresario Taika Waititi has Indigenous youth flirting with gangster mannerisms. For FX, he's now teamed up as producer with Sterlin Harjo to provide Tarantino verbiage and unusual coming-of-age on the fringes of society. Not only "What we do in the Shadows" fans can be happy about this, but also Disney Plus, where the charmingly whimsical dramedy can be seen in this country.
