As darts pro "The Wasp" Eddie (Florian Lukas) once made it to fame and glory. However, there's nothing left of it: after his own son overtakes him in the rankings and wife Manu leaves him, he flips out - and faces a lifetime ban from playing. From the defensive or rather the garden arbour of his buddy Nobbe (Ulrich Noethen), it is now a matter of finding his way back into professional life. And to show that the wasp can still sting despite bitter setbacks... 

For some time now the sport of darts has left its niche existence in Germany. So it's high time to set a serial monument to one of the unsung heroes of the aimed dart throw. Florian Lukas ("Goodbye Lenin", "Der Überläufer") and Ulrich Noethen ("Deutschstunde"), under the direction of Hermine Huntgeburth ("Lindenberg! - Mach Dein Ding"), are allowed to explore the darker side of pub sport and offended male vanity. Thus, the Sky Original becomes the ticket into an often still obscure sports world, which aims not only at the heart, but also right into the bullseye.
