For the first time, Deadline and Seriencamp are awarding the Deadline Disruptor Award honoring outstanding personalities from the German TV and film business that have defined the industry through excellency and by breaking barriers.
This year’s inaugural award winner is creative powerhouse Annette Hess, who has created some of the most memorable German drama series in recent memory. Her work includes WEISSENSEE and the KU’DAMM-series as well as DEUTSCHES HAUS, based on her own novel. Hess is also an outspoken advocate for change at an industry level, championing efforts to strengthen the role of writers and screenwriters in film and TV while also fighting for better representation for women in the business
