Dan Chase (Jeff Bridges) was pretty much done with active duty and retired after 30 years in the secret service. Long walks with the dogs and phone calls with the daughter fill the everyday life of the retiree. But after a break-in at his home Chase's training starts to kick back in: Has his cover been blown? Even in front of former colleagues from the FBI and CIA (John Lithgow and Alia Shawkat), who at least partially share a common past in Afghanistan with the ex-agent. The result is a pretty tough and finely branched piece of espionage thriller, where Jeff Bridges in particular gets to show how much action hero he still has left in him. The first episodes were directed by Jon Watts, the man directing the most recent Spiderman escapades involving Tom Holland. It struck a chord and the show has already been renewed for a second season after the season premiere aired.
