Lars von Trier really doesn't make it easy for himself and others: scandalous appearance around his doomsday fantasy "Melancholia" in Cannes, disturbing return with "The House That Jack Built" and now suddenly the disclosure of his Parkinson's disease. This has not stopped him from daring to do something similar to what David Lynch did before him, who returned to his serial masterpiece decades later with "Twin Peaks - The Return" and was frenetically celebrated for it. Von Trier, who was first inspired by the cult series in 1994 to create "Riget - Hospital of the Spirits," is also finding his way back, which recently brought him success once again at the Venice Film Festival.
