The German Sky original "Souls" has already won over Cannes and is recommended to series esoterics as an unofficial "Dark" or "The Leftovers" successor.
Based on an idea by Malte Can and developed primarily by Alex Eslam, the series project has everything a discerning mystery disciple could wish for. Starting with a boy only 14 years old, who saves several people from drowning and soon claims to have been alive once before: As the pilot of a plane that crashed 15 years ago, whose wife (Julia Koschitz) seems to relive her husband's death over and over in a time loop. Also part of the increasingly complex puzzle: a group of people who believe in transmigration and overcoming death. But beware: There will be no easy answers in this series highlight, which takes place on different time levels. Thanks to cinematic images and atmospheric gloom, "Souls" is already a perfect Halloween series. And should not miss it in any case to enjoy the first two episodes on big screen!
