Can two opposing and traumatized individuals find happiness together? Based on an original Series from Israel, British dramedy “Significant Other” dares to bet against the odds.
Who, if not the English, could better bring together what does not belong together: Anna (Katerine Parkinson, "The IT Crowd") and Sam (Youssef Kerkour), for example, who practically live door to door, but of whom one would probably least expect that they belong together. She is a woman in her mid-forties who has finished with love (and to a certain extent with life) and has largely withdrawn, he is a father of two who has just been separated from his wife and whom events have left deeply vulnerable. With both of them, however, life and love still seem to have something in store, despite their faults and shortcomings. And it s a lot of fun to watch how Cupid makes his way through all the chaos. By the way, not for the first time: The template for "Significant Other" is (once again) an Israeli series format, which testifies that the English are not the only ones who can bring opposites together well.
