A supposedly harmless vintage doll becomes the catalyst of unimaginable horror for a small American town. For behind the supposed "Good Guy" hides none other than murder doll Chucky, who soon begins to relentlessly and often violently expose the darker side of the townspeople. After "Scream," "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Psycho," among others, another legendary franchise makes the leap from the big screen to the horizontal format. 33 years after its cinematic "birth" may therefore now also murder doll Chucky find a new home. And for generations to come, to rework what once began as a "child's game" and has long since become part of the circle of legendary horror icons. Responsible, by the way, for showrunner Don Mancini, who brought the character to terrifyingly comic life. For horror fans, the SYFY series is therefore a feast.
