Cartoons are only for kids and child heads? Think again! Because even if series like "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake", "Rick & Morty" and "We Bare Bears" appeal to an ostensibly younger target group, they are not to be underestimated in terms of subversive content and richness of allusion. Examples? Adventure Time with Finn and Jake is set in the post-apocalyptic fairy tale world of Oooo and revolves around the human boy Finn, his talking dog/brother Jake and on the verge of hallucinogenic color and image frenzy of functioning images. The bears in "We Bare Bears," on the other hand, are simply called Grizz, Panda, and Polar Bear, and struggle with the very pitfalls of modern communications technology that now also cost us time and nerves every day. And finally "Rick & Morty", who we already described last year as "Back to the future on acid" and who go on adventurous journeys through cosmos and parallel worlds. Madness therefore probably sums it up quite well. We cordially invite you to dive down the animated rabbit hole...
