„Camping“ ran 2018 in the festival cinema program.

The celebrated British series of the same name by Julia Davis was the inspiration for this top-class US counterpart, with which Lena Dunham, together with Jenni Konner, is likely to further fuel her career after "Girls". The focus is on the highly neurotic Instagrammer and blogger Kathryn Sidell-Bauers, who organizes a camping trip with friends in honor of her husband's (David Tennant) 45th birthday. Over the course of six episodes, the trip gets rather bitterly out of hand, not only because of the tensions within the circle of friends, but also because of the open-hearted Jandice (Juliette Lewis), whose frivolous activities drive Kathryn, in particular, up the wall.

Lena Dunham's follow-up to the acclaimed "Girls" centers on a cam- ping trip gone wrong, mainly due to an obsessively organized Jennifer Garner who shines next to David Tennant and Juliette Lewis in this bitter comedy gem from HBO.
