The AMA sessions with experts from different parts of the audiovisual industry are entering their fifth edition. Each AMA session offers the opportunity to get answers to those burning questions you never had the chance to ask. This year, three AMAs feature deep dives on writing and entrepreneurship, national series in an international market, and co-producing with African partners.
Each session — hosted by Johanna Nunnu Karppinen — has a limited number of seats. Please register at ... and email your question(s) in advance — spontaneous questions are, of course, also welcome during the session! A limited number of walk-up seats will be available during the event.
Ask Me Anything .. about Afro-European Co-Productions
While many parts of the global series industry are slowing down or contracting, African markets are expanding — driven by young, internet-savvy audiences, a growing global diaspora, and powerful, distinctive voices. With compelling stories and strong creative momentum, Africa is becoming an increasingly attractive space for international collaboration.
This session offers the chance to ask anything about co-creation and co-production between Europe and Africa. With hands-on insights from experienced commissioning editors, producers, and award-winning talent, it’s a unique opportunity to understand the cultural, creative, and structural foundations of successful AFROpean storytelling — and to kick-start your own cross-continental project.
