Vincent Mbaya is a director and assistant director, known for Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003), Country Queen (2022) and Poacher (2018). With over 15 years experience in the industry across various roles, Vincent is a Director/Cinematographer with experience in commercials, documentary, reality shows and drama.

He has travelled across Africa, Asia and South America, filming for BBC, Nat Geo and Fox on the series ‘The Fearless Chef’ and ‘Tales From The Bush Larder’ among others.

He has also been at the helm of Netflix’s first Kenyan series ‘Country Queen’ as series director.

'Chaguo' is his first feature length film (Kenya 2022, 100 Min.), which he co directed with Ravi Karmalker, has received so far 12 nominations and awards and was accepted by Netflix in March 2023.
