Tom Spieß

Tom Spieß studied theatre studies and Communication Science at the University of Berlin. Between 1987 and 1992, he worked as a set manager and production manager for films by Mika Kaurismäki, Adolf Winkelmann and John Schlesinger, among others. In 1995 he moved to X Filme Creative Pool GmbH as Line Producer and was responsible for the productions DASLEBEN IST EINE BAUSTELLE (1997), MESCHUGGE (1998) and ABSOLUTE GIGANTEN (1999). Since 2000 he has been managing director and, together with Sönke Wortmann, Partner of Little Shark Entertainment GmbH in Cologne. Since 2017 producer at Constantin Film.

He has been awarded the German Film Award, the Bavarian Film Award, the Adolf Grimme Prize and the Inter. Emmy Award. From 2007 to 2013 he was a board member of the German Film Academy and since 2014 he has been a board member of Producers, Producers' Alliance Germany.
