Thomas Lückerath (42) is the founder and editor-in-chief of Medienmagazin DWDL.de. His career in the industry began at WDR and NBC Europe. Parallel to studying social sciences, he worked as a freelance online editor at newspaper “Rheinische Post” in Düsseldorf before focusing entirely on expanding Medienmagazin DWDL.de in 2006. In recent years he was a regular in the juries of Grimme-Preis and Deutscher Fernsehpreis. Lückerath was awarded the Bert Donnepp Preis for Media Journalism in 2014.
