Tessa Hart has been a Culture & Change Maker in film, performing arts, community work and socio-cultural fields, for over 15 years, working across intersections and beyond boundaries. Tessa's experience ranges from the overall management of AfroPolitan Berlin, curation and selection committees (e.g. Max Ophüls Preis film festival), film and theatre juries, founding and former co-directon of the Bread & Roses Theatre in London, to artistic direction of the collective company Goblin Baby Co. Born in the GDR, grown up in Berlin and Brussels, Tessa completed a BA in Theatre Studies and an MFA in Acting International, lived and worked in London for almost a decade and has been back in Berlin since 2018. Tessa has navigated very intersectional worlds of experience through existence, hence expertise on power and discrimination critical thinking as well as a commitment to equal opportunities and reflection of actual societal realities always being a leitmotif. Tessa writes, curates, stages, performs, mediates, organises, researches, invents, moderates, lectures, accompanies, moves, and does whatever else comes up.
