Founded in 2010 by Nils Dünker, Lailaps Films is now one of the most distinguished production companies in Germany. Across genre and format boundaries Lailaps Films develops and produces series, feature and TV films for almost all distribution, broadcaster and platform partners. The great care in development and the proven international packaging and financing competence forms the basis for young adult series such as "Wild Republic" for MagentaTV, the true crime series success "Ingo Thiel" for arte/ZDF, “Traces” für SWR, the international "Lost in... " thrillers for ARD/DEGETO or outstanding dramas like Dominik Graf's “Shadows of the Past” for SWR/ORF or theatrical independent films like "Best Of All Worlds", "A Woman Unheard", "Our Last Tango", “Adios Buenos Aires” or "Hannes". In April 2021 the StudioCanal Group acquired a majority stake in Lailaps Films and, as Europe's largest studio, brings distribution and financing capabilities, the global Canal+ channels, cooperation partners at all levels of production, music and book publishers and a 8,000-title rights stock to the partnership.
