Björn Böhning

Björn Böhning, born in 1978, has been Managing Director of the Allianz Deutscher Produzenten - Film & Fernsehen e.V. (Produzentenallianz) since May 2022 and Spokesman of the Board of Directors since July 2023. From March 2018 to January 2022, he was State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. There, Björn Böhning was responsible for the policy areas of labour law, occupational health and safety, international employment and social policy as well as the policy area 'Zukunft der Arbeit' (Future of work) in the context of digitalization and automation. He was a member of the administrative board of the German Federal Film Board and Deutschlandradio, as well as a member of the supervisory board of Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. From 2011 to 2018, Björn Böhning headed the Senate Chancellery of the State of Berlin and was responsible for media, film and digitalization policy. He was also a member of the board of the SPD's media and network policy commission, a member of the SPD party executive from 2004 to 2011 and the national chairman of the Young Socialists from 2004 to 2007. Björn Böhning holds a degree in political science; he studied political science at the Otto Suhr Institute of the Freie Universität Berlin from 1999 to 2004.
