Anne-Marie Keßel is a German screenwriter, novelist and radio playwright. After completing her degree in German literature and philosophy at the University of Cologne, she studied screenwriting at the University of Television and Film Munich.
As a screenwriter, she was nominated for the German Television Award in the "Best Script" category in 2018 (for the screenplay for the Sat.1 movie "Nackt. Das Netz vergisst nie."), with the ZDFneo series "Liebe. Jetzt!" (for which she wrote the episode
teleplay "Happy New Year") for the 2021 Grimme Award. In 2022, she published her debut novel "Gefährliche Gischt", which was nominated for the Harzer Hammer 2022 as best crime novel debut. The second case of her German-Danish investigative duo followed with "Tödliche Strömung", published by Piper Verlag in 2024. Her WDR radio play series "Anne Bonny. Die Piratin" was one of the most listened-to radio play highlights of 2022 and was number 1 in the fiction podcast charts on iTunes
and Spotify. 2023 followed the radio play series "Boudicca. Die Keltenkriegerin". Her horror radio play "Horla" is expected to go on air on Halloween 2024.
