Alejandro Mathé

Director

Born in Ibiza (Spain), he studied Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada (Spain). In 2023, he completed his directing studies at the International Film School Cologne with a thesis on "The Impact of Positive LGBTQ+ Representation in Media". His short films have been nominated for and won awards at festivals multiple times. His graduation film, "El Mártir", received two nominations for the First Steps Awards 2023. In 2024, the film premiered at the 45th Max Ophüls Film Festival. Currently, he is working on the development of his feature film debut.
