Yusuf Abdilgadir

Yusuf and Jasir are the founders of Huuditeak, a 13-member improvisation collective based at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki, Finland. The group was formed independently and consists primarily of second-generation immigrants. Huuditeak is the first improvisation group of its kind in Finland to bring together performers from diverse ethnic backgrounds on stage, creating new opportunities for representation within Finnish theater and film.

In 2025, Huuditeak received the prestigious “Theater Act of the Year” award at the Finnish Thalia Theater Gala. The jury recognized the group for introducing something entirely new and creatively groundbreaking to the Finnish theater scene. As Huuditeak’s reputation has rapidly spread across Finland, around 70% of the collective’s members have since landed their first roles in television series and feature films.

Alongside their work with Huuditeak, Yusuf and Jasir recently co-founded HT Studios, a new production company where they both work as producers.
