Yi Qiao

Yi Qiao joined as Commissioning Editor for international co-productions at German pubcaster ZDF in June 2025. Working across a variety of projects on the slate, the international coproduction team is responsible for investing in international dramas such as Around the World in 80 Days, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and Cry Wolf.

Prior, Qiao was Director of Drama at ZDF Studios, the commercial arm of ZDF for five years, where she was responsible for acquisitions and sales operations across North America, UK, Australia / New Zealand and Scandinavia. Her remit covered identifying and developing scripted projects at early stage for co-production and co-financing opportunities as well as initiating pre-sale conversations.
