Wim Janssen

Since 1ste of October 2015, Wim is working as Content Manager at VRT for VRT 1, Canvas & VRT MAX with a main focus on Drama. As from beginning of 2022 as Head of Drama at VRT.

Since he arrived at VRT, 18 years ago, Wim was first working as an executive producer for

the daily soap, THUIS.

Wim worked – amongst other series - on the following drama series: Hunters and Breendonk (2026), This is Not A Murder Mystery (VRT1, 2025), 1985 (VRT 1, 2023), The Twelve I, II & III (2019 -2026), Tabula Rasa (2017), Professor T and more.

Amongst the titles focusing on younger audiences on VRT MAX, Wim was working on the hit-title High Tides (VRT Max, 2023 - 2026), Season Of Sex (VRT Max, 2022) and Roomies (VRT Max, 2022). And recently the vertical drama Red Flag (2025). The scripted reality series Dertigers (2019-2025) got remakes in The Netherlands and Wallonia.

Wim is with VRT a founding member of the New8-allience.

Non-scripted shows he worked on, include shows such as International Emmy-award winning Sorry About That (Eén).
