Sabine Weber

Commissioning Editor and Dramaturge

Studied German Literature in Vienna.

Worked as an editor for a publishing house before joining ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) in 1996. She first served as press officer to the program director, then became head of the "TV Movies and Series" department. Since 2008, she has been the commissioning editor and dramaturge for feature films and series.

Her credits include the iEmmy Award-winning “Das Wunder von Kärnten”, as well as “Die Toten von Salzburg”, “Die Toten vom Bodensee”, “Kästner und der kleine Dienstag”, and the Netflix co-production “Freud”. She has overseen numerous regional crime films (e.g., “Vier”, multiple award winner in Baden-Baden 2023; “Bis in die Seele ist mir kalt”, winner in Wiesbaden 2024), as well as international co-productions such as “School of Champions”, “Hundertdreizehn”, and “Das Vergessen”.
