Ram Paramanathan

Ram Paramanathan started out as a makeup artist. A job that has a lot to do with looking closely. A degree in Theatre Studies later, it became clear that the interest only begins with the story behind the faces.

After graduating, Ram held positions in editorial and format development across a range of projects, from reality formats to campaigns, including work for ZDF Neo and Netflix. Today, Ram is a Creative Producer at funk, the content network of ARD and ZDF, bringing a dramaturgical eye to socially relevant formats like Das letzte Gespräch. At funk, Ram accompanies fictional series from development through to distribution, including the comedy series Fleischwolf.

The question that runs through all of Ram's work: how does a story find the people it was made for? With GYM BROS (working title), a new YouTube series about mental health and masculinity in young men, that question becomes the foundation of the entire development process.
