Marianne Furevold-Boland is Head of Drama at NRK, the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, where she has the privilege of working with a talented team to develop and produce a wide range of scripted stories. Over the years, she’s been lucky to be part of several of NRK’s most beloved series, including So Long Marianne, Powerplay, Exit, State of Happiness, and Requiem for Selina.
She was also the producer of Skam, later supporting its international journey as the series found new audiences in more than eight countries.
Marianne has worn many hats at NRK—producer, script consultant, writer, journalist, and presenter—which has given her a broad perspective on both storytelling and the importance of understanding the audience.
Educated in acting at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA).
