Johannes Jensen is Head of Scripted, Business, for Banijay Entertainment, overseeing the financial and operational strategy of the scripted division. In an expansion beyond his role of Head of Scripted, Banijay Nordic, he focuses on boosting performance, supporting productions through to air, and fostering sustainable growth.
Having led both Jarowskij and Yellow Bird—now merged as Jarowskij/Yellow Bird—he has played an integral role in enhancing scripted slates, with expertise in co-productions, navigating industry shifts, and driving long-term strategic expansion.
Before stepping into his current position, Jensen was Deputy Group CEO for Banijay Nordic following the merger with Banijay. Prior to that, he was CEO of the Nordic division of Zodiak Media Group, a role he held until February 2016. He also served as MD for Zodiak’s successful fiction company, Yellow Bird, from 2014.
Jensen’s earlier career includes his time as Managing Director of Jarowskij from 2005, having initially joined the company in 2001 as Head of Development. Before that, he co-founded a production company in 1999, where he helped create and produce Idrottsgalan, Sweden’s first sports gala, in 2000. He began his career in 1992 as a freelancer at Strix Television, where he played a key role in producing the world’s first version of Survivor for Swedish public broadcaster SVT in 1997.
