Jasir Osman

Jasir is an finnish-sudanese actor. Graduated from Theatre academy of Helsinki2018 ( Master of Arts, Theatre and Drama).

Jasir and Yusuf are the founders of Huuditeak, a 13 member improvisation collective based at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki, Finland. The group was independently formed and consists primarily of second generationimmigrants. Huuditeak is the first improvisation group of its kind in Finland to bring together performers with diverse ethnic backgrounds on stage, creating new space for representation within Finnish theatre and film.

In 2025, Huuditeak received the prestigious “Theatre Act of the Year” award at the Finnish Thalia Theatre Gala. The jury recognized the group for introducing something entirely new and creatively groundbreaking to the Finnish theatre scene. As Huuditeak’s reputation has rapidly spread across Finland, around 70% of the collective’s members have since landed their first roles in television series and feature films.

Alongside their work with Huuditeak, Yusuf and Jasir recently co-founded HT Studios, a new production company where they both work as producers.
