Helen Lõhmus is an Estonian producer with a strong track record in both domestic and international productions.
She began her career in television in 2004 before transitioning also to film, serving as a production and costume designer for Walt Disney Company’s After School in 2012. She produced and worked as a production designer for Dearest Sister (dir. Mattie Do), a Lao-Estonia-France co-production that was nominated for an Oscar in 2017. In 2024, Kelly: Someone Else’s Dream, a feature documentary exploring the dark sides of youth sports was released in HotDocs. Her most recent work is TV series VON FOCK, an international co-production Estonia-Latvia-Italy that aired in the beginning of 2025.
Lõhmus continues to develop multiple drama series, including soviet musical BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN, which won the Most Promising Project award at the TV Beats Co-Financing Market 2023 and The CODE of THULE, a geopolitical sky-fi thriller that got named as the most promising Estonian project at Black Nights FF.
