Franziska Gärtner

Franziska studied directing in Hamburg before working for various production companies in Berlin and Hamburg. In 2020, she completed the producer master class "Atelier Ludwigsburg Paris" at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, La Fémis in Paris and the National Film and Television School in London. She then worked in acquisitions at X Verleih and in script development for new theatrical projects at X Filme. As a freelance producer, she realized Clara Stella Hüneke's documentary Sisterqueens - a long-term observation of three very young female rappers who question social norms with their rap crew (opening film of the CineKindl section at Filmfest München 2024, Grimme Prize 2025). Since fall 2024, she has been working as "Head of Acquisitions & Sales" at bildundtonfabrik in Cologne, where she scouts new material and IPs, helps shape the content and strategic direction and expands international partnerships.
