Eva Maria Sommersberg worked as a theater actress for many years before turning to writing. In 2019, her play "One Early Morning, the Enemy Lay in My Bed” won the Audience Award at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms.
In 2020, she co-founded the production company Drei Schwestern Produktionen and, as writer, director and actress in one of the leading roles, was responsible for her debut project, the improvised dramedy series "Vodka Variations", which premiered at the Seriencamp in 2021.
In 2022, she completed her training as a screenwriter at the Masterschool Drehbuch and began a traineeship at Studio Hamburg Serienwerft in 2023. Since then, she has been developing her own projects, sits in the writers' room for the ARD series “Rote Rosen” and writes dialogue scripts.
Since 2022, she has been on the board of Pro Quote Film and is committed to improving gender equality, diversity and inclusion in the movie and TV industry.
