Elly Vervloet is commissioning editor and international drama executive at VRT, the Flemish public broadcaster (Belgium).
As part of VRT’s drama strategy, it is the ambition to make high quality, relevant drama with international appeal. Therefor Elly takes up the responsibility to set up international co-productions and represent VRT as a strong drama partner internationally. She commissioned, amongst others, Beau Séjour, Arcadia and This is not a murder mystery.
Elly is Chair of EBU’s Fiction Experts Group and is strongly involved in New8, the drama collaboration between eight European Public Broadcasters that was launched in 2023.
