Dr. Marco Matthäus Zierhut, B.Sc., born April 2, 1988, is a senior physician specializing in schizophrenia spectrum disorders at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from LMU Munich, where he also completed his medical degree and doctorate (Dr. med.) in Human Medicine. Following his specialist training at Charité, he became medical director of the schizophrenia spectrum disorders department and teaching coordinator. Since 2022, he has participated in the "Clinician Scientist" program of the Berlin Institute of Health and co-leads the "Clinical Interventions for Psychosis" (CLIPS) research group. He is a review editor for "Frontiers in Public Mental Health" and a member of the DGPPN and DZPG. Awards include the Early Career Award from SIRS and a travel grant from the European Congress of Psychiatry (EPA).
