Christian Kaps, a native of Washington D.C., started his career in development aid in Southeast Asia before moving to film. He worked his way up from PA to producer on over 25 features, TV movies and series for production companies in Hamburg and Cologne.
After spending a few years in Bolivia and completing the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting, he has focussed on writing since 2020. In 2022 he was nominated for the German Animated Screenplay Award and was selected as one of five participants in the Impact x Netflix DACH Accelerator Program.
He is currently working on the pilot of his historical western-adventure series Belle Alliance (funded by the CNC FAIA). Christian is a member of the European Writers Desk (Creative Europe) and the German Screenwriters' Guild (DDV). He lives and works in Cologne.
