German-Turkish screenwriter Aylin Kockler (*1993 in Saarland) won the first RTL+ Storytellers competition in 2021 with HÜBSCHES GESICHT. The resulting series was nominated for the Grimme-Preis. For the scripts, she received the Juliane Bartel Medienpreis along with her co-author Ferdos Sililo-Simon. As a fixer, she worked on the Sundance documentary LANCE by Marina Zenovich. As a producer, she was nominated for the German Short Film Award and the Förderpreis Neues Deutsches Kino at the Filmfest Munich as well as part of the Next Generation Program by German Films. In 2022 she was recognized on the European 30under30 list by US magazine Forbes. She has a certificate in television journalism from BAF in Unterföhring, attended classes at NYFA in Burbank and graduated from HFF Munich with a diploma in production and media business. She writes and performs stand-up comedy and is currently developing series with the fiction department of WDR, among others.
