With a broad career spanning thirty years as a creative in the entertainment industry, founder and CEO Al Munteanu started his career as a radio host and one of the first five VJs of MTV Europe and was a gameshow host for RTL Television. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, the University of Munich and EAVE the European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, a professional training, project development and networking organization for audiovisual producers. After moving into feature film production with New Legend Media, he subsequently founded SquareOne Entertainment in 2002, becoming a leading distributor in Germany known for films like ONE LIFE, THE IMITATION GAME, BOOK CLUB, ALL IS LOST and THE WIFE. In April 2025, he rebranded its production arm, SquareOne Productions, known for premium series productions such as EUER EHREN; WOMAN OF THE DEAD and OXEN, as the unique, future facing film & television boutique, BriskPace Studios. Al is Executive Producer of features films such as RACE, IRONCLAD, TRAUTMANNN, LAST MEALS, LOVE PUNCH and many others.
