Cecile Gerardin started her career at PBS affiliated WGBH-Boston. She spent 4 years in Los Angeles for the Acquisitions of French network TF 1. After 7 years at TF 1 and TF 1 Consulting, she managed programs and acquisitions at French channels TV Breizh, TPS Jeunesse, and for the launch of kid broascaster Gulli. In 2005, she joined producers on developing drama and innovative tv series, and turned to creative writing with her First detective TV series (created with 2 co-writers) broadcast in France in 2015.
She joined Canal+ International in 2015 as head of Drama to develop and coproduce more than 25 original premium tv series since 2018, launching the new label CANAL +ORIGINAL with a focus on the African Continent including Invisibles, Sakho & Mangane, Agent, Cacao, Maniok, Mami Wata, Eki, Batanga, Black Santiago Club, Or Blanc, Dans tes reves, Niabla and Spinners.
Cecile Gerardin holds an MBA from Boston College Carroll School of Management, and an MBA from French Graduate Business School Sup de Co Reims (NEOMA Group)
